National Night Out – SouthWest Denver Coalition

SouthWest Denver Coalition, Denver Parks & Recreation, and partners are joining forces to host the Westwood National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Westwood Park from 5 pm to 8 pm. This is a FREE event with music, cultural performances, activities for the kids, a large resource fair, giveaways, and free food.

National Night Out aims to build community unity while building positive relationships between community and law enforcement. We are promoting safer communities for Denver’s residents. This provides an opportunity for Southwest Denver communities with local organizations, agencies, businesses, and government departments interested in collaborating with them to help them improve their quality of life. It also serves as an excellent forum for Southwest Denver to come together as a community, express their rich cultural heritage, and promote diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility

Become an Exhibitor: Do you have a program, educational tool, or community resource that you think would be a great booth at the event? Becoming an exhibitor is easy.
Become a Sponsor: Sponsors ARE instrumental part in making Westwood National Night Out happen! Our primary purpose for hosting this event is to connect Southwest Denver communities with local organizations, agencies, businesses, and governments that are interested in collaborating with them to help them improve their quality of life.
Become a Volunteer: Get involved on the day of the event by helping with a variety of activities that include set up and clean up, guiding visitors through the event, serving free food, and more.

GETTING THERE

Location:
Westwood Park 4951 W. Kentucky Ave., Denver, CO 80219

Parking:
Street parking will be available around the park, please make sure
to pay attention to street signs and we would like to ask attendees,
please do not block residential drive-ways.

Street Closure:
Road Closure between 2:00pm – 9:00pm. The following streets will be closed W. Ohio Ave between S. Yates Street and S. Xavier. These identified roads will be closed to through traffic until the end of the event. The park side of W. Ohio Ave is reserved for event unloading and loading, and event vehicles.

Participants are encouraged to: check local bus schedules, ride a
bike, and/or walk.
