Monthly Meetings
We invite you to join us for our monthly community meetings, held on the second Thursday of each month from 12:45 PM to 3:00 PM. These meetings are an open space to discuss community topics, share updates, and hear directly from you—our residents and partners. Your voice matters, and we’d love to hear your ideas and suggestions!
Community Events
Each year, the Southwest Denver Coalition proudly hosts two of the largest community events in Southwest Denver, along with a variety of special events throughout the year. These gatherings are designed to bring neighbors together, celebrate our diverse culture, and share valuable resources.
Safe Summer Kickoff on Get Outdoors Day
Southwest Denver Coalition, Denver Parks & Recreation & My Outdoor Colorado join forces to host Safe Summer Kick Off Get Outdoors Day (SSKO GO). A FREE, family-friendly event promoting a safe summer, access to healthy and safe outdoor spaces, supports under-resourced
communities and celebrates nature exploration. We need your active engagement!

National Night Out
National Night Out is part of a nationwide crime prevention initiative focused on strengthening community safety through connection and collaboration. This FREE event brings neighbors together for an evening of entertainment, activities, food, and fun!
As part of the celebration, we’ll also host a Community Resource Fair—a space where residents can meet local organizations and city departments, learn about available services, and build relationships that foster unity and trust. Together, we aim to promote a safer, more connected
Southwest Denver.
Back-2-School Drive & Resource Fair
Each year, the Southwest Denver Coalition hosts a Back-2-School Drive to collect backpacks and school supplies for youth in our community. These items are distributed at our Back-2- School Resource Fair & Giveaway, which supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade as they prepare for a successful school year.
This event is a celebration of learning and community, bringing families together while connecting them to valuable resources, services, and support as the new school year begins.
Holiday Drive & Holiday Giveaway
Each year, the Southwest Denver Coalition hosts a Holiday Gift Drive & Holiday Giveaway to collect toys and gifts for youth in our community. Through a pre-registration process, we provide gifts to newborn to 18 years old who live within the Southwest Denver Coalition boundaries.
We understand the holiday season can be a challenging time for many families, and our goal is to spread a little joy and relief by making the season brighter for our youth. Together, we can help create warm memories and a sense of hope for families across Southwest Denver.
